Flux is a for-fee service that provides high performance computing (HPC) resources via time- and CPU-bounded subscriptions. These subscriptions are billed monthly against your university account. This service is provided jointly by the Office of Research CyberInfrastructure (ORCI), ITS, and CAEN. See Flux Costing to get help with planning your costs.
The Flux rate and billing service allows for funding from a range of sources: federally funded research projects; general funds; departmental instructional funds; faculty discretionary and research incentive accounts; cost sharing; and faculty start up package funds. All Flux charges charges must be billed to a U-M shortcode, no other payment method (cash, credit cards, etc.) is accepted.
